I have been motivated to treat myself better and live a healthier lifestyle, so I jumped at the chance to receive an advance copy of “Always Eat After 7 PM” by Joel Marion. Over the next four weeks, I’ll be sharing my experience of the book and diet. Basically, the Always Eat After 7 PM plan consists of: The 14-day Acceleration Phase to kick-start the program and see rapid results, The Main Phase where you’ll learn exactly which foods to eat when in order to achieve your weight-loss goals, The Lifestyle Phase to keep the weight off for good.
Let’s get started.
I was interested in learning more about the diet plan because, like many of us, I have always been told not to eat before bedtime. This was reinforced with the myth that eating so close to sleeping will cause your body to store any nutrients that the body has consumed because the body is at rest. Late night snacking has always been discouraged. I found this excerpt very interesting and relatable:
“…I was hearing one big complaint from my clients who were dieting.
They were constantly hungry and not feeling full after their meals, especially at dinnertime and late at night—challenges that were difficult to overcome, challenges I understood because I had personally dealt with them. Deep down, I knew that if my clients couldn’t get a grip on their
late-night hunger and cravings, they’d have a hard time adhering to any diet.”
I am a bedtime snacker and real life example of not getting restful sleep, especially when I am hungry. So, why not give this program a try to see if the benefits include getting better sleep!
